Description: See Jane Run sports is growing and is looking for a full-time
buyer to help us with this growth. This position supports the organization
by reviewing apparel lines, entering product information, ensuring smooth
flow of product from vendor to store, coordinating all logistics of orders,
managing vendors and communicating accurate data and details.
Responsibilities
• Assist all aspects of buying for specialty apparel and footwear retail store with three locations and e-commerce.
• Enter new orders, write fill in orders, manage re-order process, manage vendors on a daily basis.
• Maintain relationships with vendors, resolve issues and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
• Recommend and collaborate with Store Management on product assortments.
• Collaborate with Store Managers and recommend adjustments (markdowns,

• Track PO delivery and communicate weekly.

Requirements
• Minimum of four years as buyer in retail environment.
• four to six years experience in specialty retail, preferably in sportswear, footwear or sporting goods.
• Must posses strong analytical skills, knowledge of retail math, the
open to buy process and all aspects of business that effect general management.
• Must have extensive PC knowledge including expert proficiency in
MS Excel, familiarity with inventory management software (preferably Cam
Commerce Solutions) and comfortable working with report writing software.
• Must travel 2-4 times annually.

The SFCCN consists of providers of core medical and support services within SFGHMC, providers of essential community-based services, and those who protect these services through advocacy and education.

Job Responsibilities:
The Marketing and Communications Consultant is responsible for the development of a marketing/communications plan that will give a public face to the mission of the SFCCN in order to further increase its financial support base.
The Marketing and Communications Consultant must create a complete marketing plan that outlines how we will establish our credibility, ensure we deliver our message clearly and connect with our target audiences. The plan would include mechanisms for promoting awareness of our brand, for communicating our message effectively in legislative and funding arenas, and provide structure for SFCCN organizations to benefit from training for their own marketing objectives. Crafting presentations to the Health Commission and other influential entities, organizing community events, hosting a Speaker’s Bureau, and maintaining a newsletter are iniatives to examine within the plan. The plan would also outline the creation and deployment of an agency web site.

The Events Director is responsible for directing the development and
delivery of special events, including the annual Workplace Summit, in
coordination with other staff, event consultants and volunteers. The

MAJOR DUTIES
The Events Director oversees the coordination and administration of all
aspects of ongoing events including planning, organizing, staffing,
leading, and controlling program activities. The events director
performs a wide range of duties, including some or all of the following:
Event Management:
- Ensure that programs activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Administer and monitor annual timelines with staff and event consultants.
- Build up and monitor annual events goals to support overall organizational objectives
- Develop
and monitor events budget and operating plan to support the program in
collaboration with management team and event consultants.
- Create and update detailed event schedules.
- Guide and support registration manager and on-site registration team.
- Work with event consultants to negotiate speaker, service and entertainment contracts.
- Direct
event consultants and vendors in the tactical execution of events
including but not limited to: Kickoff Reception, Pre-Summit Seminars,
Workplace Summit and Executive Summit.
- Work with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure that volunteer needs are met and volunteers are supported and recognized.
- Coordinate ongoing conference calls with Summit Co-Chairs, Planning Committee Chairs and staff.
Supervision & Team Work
- Ensure that the program operates within the approved budget.
- Monitor and approve all budgeted program expenditures.
- Supervise Out & Equal Events Staff (2).
- Supervise event consultants and provide feedback through measurable goals & regular check-ins.
- Provide
support and direction to Summit Co-Chairs and planning committees
through committee guidelines, measurable goals and regular check-ins.
- Work effectively with other staff to identify Summit areas of responsibility and accomplish tasks.
- Communicate event information with staff, consultants, key volunteers and constituents.
- Support Advisory Committees in creating committee processes and measurable goals for Summit and program impact.
Administration
- Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement.
- Report evaluation findings to the management team, and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate.
- Provide monthly metrics to track accomplishments.
- Represent Out & Equal at public functions and speaking opportunities.
- Respond to inquiries about Out & Equal events.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and planning retreats.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS
This position requires frequent computer use and occasional lifting of
up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years previous experience in conference/event planning
- Knowledge of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues

- Positive outlook, enthusiasm, self-motivated and high energy
- Ability to function as a dependable team player

The Center provides a broad range of health and emotional wellness programming and social activities in a newly renovated facility, and has an annual operations budget of approximately $1,000,000.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Financial Responsibilities • Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts. • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports • Maintain the Center A/P and A/R • Makes bank deposits, wire transfers and journal funding transfers and reconciles monthly bank statements. • Work closely with the Executive Director in preparation/management of the annual budgets • Ensure confidentiality and retain all company accounting and operations records • Works with a high degree of independence in performing accounting and financial reports. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights Program
Description: HRW’s
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (“LGBT”) Rights Program is seeking
a Researcher. The Researcher will focus on human rights abuses related to
sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression worldwide. The
Researcher will work under the supervision of the Director of the LGBT Rights
Program, who will provide guidance on the choice of research and advocacy
projects. The Researcher will also coordinate research and advocacy plans
with the HRW thematic and regional divisions. S/he will be responsible for
ongoing research and advocacy efforts, play an important role in developing
strategies for dealing with human rights issues related to sexuality and
sexual rights, and contribute to policy development in this area. A particular
though not exclusive focus of the position may be researching gender-based
abuses, including against lesbian and bisexual women and abuses related to
gender identity, and experience in this realm is highly desirable. S/he will
carry out fact-finding missions to target countries; write and publicize
reports on findings; develop advocacy strategies; present human rights concerns
to governments, intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations, and
the media; and write news releases, articles, op-eds, and position papers.
S/he will help create and maintain partnerships with NGOs working on sexual
rights and will follow media and other reports on human rights abuses based
on sexual orientation or gender identity or expression. S/he may also be
responsible for editing, speaking, and representing the LGBT Rights Program
in conferences and other meetings, along with related tasks. The Researcher
will be based preferably in HRW’s New York headquarters, although other locations
may be considered.
Qualifications:
An advanced degree in law, public health, international relations, women’s
or gender studies, or a related field, and two to three years of experience
in human rights, with a preferred emphasis in LGBT rights, women’s rights,
gender and sexual rights, or a closely related area, are required. Candidates
must have research experience and advocacy skills and should have good interviewing
skills; field experience in public health or human rights is strongly desirable,
as is demonstrated experience working with sexual minorities and LGBT communities.
Experience working with issues of gender identity and expression is highly
desired. Excellent oral and written communications skills in English are
required, and oral and written proficiency in another language is highly
desirable. Candidates should be highly motivated and well-organized; able
to work quickly and well under pressure, both independently and as a member
of a team; juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines; and demonstrate
a commitment to international human rights.
