December 26, 2005 - Tsunami Memorial Ceremonies -
Memorial ceremonies were held on Monday, December 26, 2005 in memory of
the estimated 223,000 lost in the tsunami one yaer ago. Some 40,000
floating paper "levitative lanterns" were released in at sites across
southern Asia and other sites around the world.

meaning "bringing the blessings to heaven." Among the hard hit spots
