Note from Betty: During my days working for USA Today - "The Nation's Newspaper," or "McPaper" if you prefer - we joked about how often photos of hot air balloons graced the front page. Color was still new, the newsroom was still young . . . so we'll add more of Cindy's shots on our homepage occasionally, with that memory in mind. - Betty
The 2007 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiestal, October 6th - 14th, found our friend and Betty's List poster girl Cindy Capelli returning home to New Mexico. Accompanying Cindy on the trip from Pennsylvania back home was girlfriend Jendi. Cindy sent along her original photos and there are numerous YouTube Videos to watch (one has "Goodbye, Earl" as its background jingle) online at the Fiesta's official website.
