Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 - Kayaking at Elkhorn Slouth - With a full complement of 44 participants and 5 guides, the Betty's List Outdoor Adventure group enjoyed an excellent day at Elkhorn Slough near Moss Landing. Led by naturalist and guide Kim Powell of Blue Water Ventures, our group was thoroughly entertained by a plethora of species on display. Harbor seals provided a loud backdrop of sound and put on a roly poly show, climbing three or more over and under each other at the recently constructed boat launch. Mother nature prevails, Kim advised us. Marine mammals and birds awed us, as did the calm waters of the slough. Words can hardly tell the tale! Photos by Marcia Iris Baum. More to come soon!
