Looking Back and Looking Forward!

By DJ Gray

Happy New Year! 2006 is now another notch in your memory stick. 2007 is expected to be a year of new beginnings. How many times have we heard that before? Hopefully, not one too many, because this has to be the time.

Do you want to live in an age when governments see fit to use genecide as population control, and outwardly use the people’s resources and power as a means to attain personal wealth and power?

My question to you is this: ”What do you think about politics? What do you want to do about your future?”

I think you should talk to your friends, family and lovers about what they think about politics. I think we all need to start becoming more aware of our surroundings. I think we should all become more active in our government by registering to vote, helping other people see the need to register to vote and take an active participation in voting and government. Be counted in . . . and counted on!

Please look out for some crazy, wacky things I may be doing to bring people’s minds into politics!

Music is a universal language, and many people in history have used music as a way to express their concerns about politics. I have been hearing more of that happening again in pop culture. Pay attention! Some of our young people are in tune with a lil bit more than reality television. Tune in to Current TV on your cable or satalite channels. Go to www.current.tv to find out your local station number. Current TV is a station owned by Al Gore. It’s a news station that allows the viewer to create the content that he or she wants you to know about and would want to know about.  Check it out!

2006 was an exciting year for me.  In 2006, I enhanced my knowledge of music software and have created a few original songs, and remixed a lot of my favorite tunes that I felt needed a little Gray rub up.  You can hear my creations at www.myspace.com/rollergurl  or www.myspace.com/dj_gray  You do not have to be a member to listen to my music.  I also have mp3 mixes you can download to your ipod at www.djgray.net

In 2006, I also had the opportunity to go to Atlanta Pride and the Gay Games Chicago with Curve Magazine. I also co-produced a few San Francisco women’s parties. You can see the pictures of these events at www.adventureoutwomen.com Look for past events.  Please make the time to check out the Adventure Out Women’s website.  Keep an eye on my website or myspace for upcoming women’s parties I will be associated with.  I also spin at a few different restaurants in the city that are great to take a date or friend out.

Now, here are tunes I’m recommending:
